Access the Modules panel from the Dashboard.
Click New from the toolbar.
Select the Power Bi Module by clicking on Add Module +
By clicking inside the Module you will first have to choose the Title (1): make sure to use a title that will make you quickly understand what you are viewing (for example Power Bi | Sales Report 2020).
Secondly, you will need to select the Position (2). Let’s see how to do this.
Clicking on Position will open a drop-down menu where you will find all the Templates in bold and, under each Template, the relative positions. Freely choose the location of the Template used in your Position to show your dashboard within the schedule.
Finally click Save (3) to apply the changes.
Tip: to verify that you assign the module to the correct position in the Template, in another tab of the browser open a new Dashboard and access the Devices panel so you can see the name of the Template used for each of them
Let’s now move on to the configuration of the Module.
Set your module’s iframe height (1) and iframe width (2).
Remember: the dimensions must be equal to the position of the Template where you want to insert it.
Once you set the size, we move on to embed a report created with Power Bi in the module.
In another tab of the browser open Microsoft Power Bi and access the Report you want to embed in the module.
Once inside the Report click on Share (1), then on Embed report (2) and finally Publish on the Web (public) (3).
You will see a window from which you can continue to complete the procedure to obtain the embedding code.
Here you will find the official guide to complete the publication and configuration of the report.
Remember: you must obtain permissions from your Power Bi profile administrator to access the embedding code that allows the report to be published on the web.
In the pop-up that will appear, copy the link that you see highlighted in the image below and return to ProPanel in the Power Bi module configuration page.
Once here, paste the link into the iframe URL field (3).
Finally, in Iframe Update Minutes (4) you will need to set a value, expressed in minutes, based on the refresh rate of content in the integrated report. The lower the value, the higher the frequency of updates; the higher the value, the lower the frequency.
Once all parameters are set, click Save and Close.
To complete the configuration of the Power Module Bi You will need to assign the Module to the Station of interest (To do this follow this guide Program and assign a Module to the Device).
Once you have assigned the Module to the Workstation, you will have to wait for the automatic update set in the early morning or make a manual update (Manual Update of Device) in case you want to update your schedule immediately.
