Before proceeding, make sure you have previously uploaded from the File Manager section all the content you want to publish. Not sure how to upload content? See the dedicated guide.
Access the Smart Slider panel from the Dashboard.
Create your Slider by clicking on New Slider and enter the title and dimensions that are indicated in the position of the Template you have chosen and that can host the “Smart Slider 3” Module.
Once you have created your Slider, you can insert one by one the Slide videos you want to view. You can add the contents you previously uploaded to File Manager by clicking on the Add Slide button (1), or use the Drag & Drop function (2).
Click on Video to start inserting your Slide videos (3).
In the pop-up that appears click on File (1) and then on the green icon highlighted in the image (2).
After that click on Add Video.
Here is your newly created Slider with your video slides.
Now that your slides have been loaded, by clicking on the Modify button (which you find when moving the mouse over the thumbnail) you can make changes to your video Slides.
From the Settings button you can change the Title of the Slide (1).
Note: unlike image slides, the duration of time on the monitor is not set for video slides (0 ms) as the system automatically recognises the duration of the entire video (2).
Moving with the mouse click on the video icon to enable/disable certain features on the video.
You will need to disable the Controls button (1) and enable the Auto Play (2) so that your video will play automatically.
Note: the Loop button (3), on the other hand, allows the cyclical reproduction of your video slide. We advise you to enable it only if there is only one video in your Slider.
Once the features described above are enabled/disabled, click on Save to apply the changes made to your Slide Video.
Remember: you will need to perform this procedure for all the Slide videos in the Slider.
As you have seen for the Slide images, even for Slide videos you can make changes like:
- Move them to decide the order in which they will be displayed
- Duplicate
- Delete or move them from one Slider to another
- Choose whether or not to publish your Slide.
Click on Save to apply the changes made to your Slider.
To ensure that your schedule is displayed you will need to enable automatic playback. Click on Auto Play from the toolbar (1) and then on the Enable item (2). From the Interval field (3), you can instead set a time interval that will go from one slide to the next.
Tip: before moving to the next slide video, the last frame of the slide video currently playing will remain on the monitor for the entire duration of the interval. Therefore, we recommend using a relatively low interval time (around 1000ms).
To make the video slider play in loop, enable Allow restart after finish, Stop autoplay on and Reset autoplay on as shown in the image below.
Now that you have made all your changes, you can view the preview of your Slider by clicking on Preview.
Remember: repeat the procedure for all the slides that will make up your schedule!
