Let’s configure it!<\/h1>\n
Before you start configuring your instantPlay Web, it\u2019s worth mentioning that every time you open the configuration page, the monitor will stop displaying the web page, showing Chrome in configuration mode. To display the content again, simply save the new settings and wait for the player to restart by closing the tab of the configuration page.<\/div>\n

1. Open your PC browser and type http:\/\/instantplayweb.local<\/a> in the top bar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
<\/div>\n

2. At this point, the instantPlay Web initial configuration page will appear. Here\u2019s how to fill in the various parameters.<\/h3>\nYou may be asked for your username and password to access the configuration page. Either way, it\u2019s admin<\/em><\/small>\n

NETWORK SETTINGS section<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Ethernet<\/h3>\n<\/div>\nOpen the Ethernet Connection<\/strong> section.\n
<\/div>\nYou\u2019ll need to choose whether to use a fixed IP<\/strong> or an DHCP.<\/strong>\n
<\/div>\nIf you want to use a static IP, click on Set fixed IP<\/strong> and enter the required parameters.<\/li>\n

  • To retrieve them, simply proceed as follows.\n
    <\/div>\nIf you\u2019re using Windows, open the Start menu, type \u201ccmd\u201d and launch the command prompt<\/strong>. Once the command prompt is open, type \u201cipconfig \/all\u201d <\/strong> and press the Enter key. You\u2019ll see a screen like the one below where you\u2019ll find IP (1)<\/strong>, Subnet Mask (2)<\/strong>, Gateway (3)<\/strong>, DNS (4)<\/strong>.\n

    <\/div>\nIf you\u2019re using a Mac, the fastest way to find your IP address is to open the Network Preferences<\/strong> menu and select the network you\u2019re using. Now click on the Advanced<\/strong> button and then select the TCP\/IP tab<\/strong>. Here you\u2019ll find IP (1)<\/strong>, Subnet Mask (2)<\/strong>, Gateway (3)<\/strong>. To locate the DNS simply open the DNS tab<\/strong> and thenthen copy and paste the server address (4).<\/strong>.\n

  • To go back to working on the configuration page, simply update the tab using the appropriate button.<\/li>\n<\/a>\n \t
  • If instead you want to display the content again, just close the configuration page while the player is restarting.\n

    WiFi<\/h3>\n<\/div>\nOpen the Wifi Connection section.<\/strong>\n
    <\/div>\nSet the switch to ON (1)<\/strong>. In the table below you\u2019ll see all the available networks.\n
    <\/div>\nClick on your network (2) and enter your password in the field below (3).<\/strong> Then click Save (4).<\/strong>\nThe SSID field will automatically be populated when you select the network.\n
    <\/div>\nAt this point you\u2019ll see a countdown appear on the configuration page while the monitor restarts, showing in sequence: start screen (with the logo), black screen with IP and finally the browser. To go back to working on the configuration page, simply update the tab using the appropriate button.\n

    DEVICE SETTINGS section<\/strong><\/h4>\n
    <\/div>\nOnce you\u2019re connected to the internet, it\u2019s time to move on to configuring the content.\n
    <\/div>\nEnter the URL you want to display on the monitor in the Web resource’s URL (1).<\/strong>\n
    <\/div>\nWe recommend leaving theCompatibility view (2)<\/strong> set to ON<\/strong> because it keeps a Chrome extension running that optimises the contents of the iframe displayed on the monitor. Disabling it may result in display errors.\n
    <\/div>\nThe Mouse Pointer switch (3)<\/strong> lets you decide whether or not to keep the cursor visible. When is it useful to enable it? <\/strong> SIf you want to change the portion of the web page shown on the screen. This way you\u2019re free to view whichever one you prefer. Once the change is complete, simply disable this option to hide the pointer.\n
    <\/div>\nThe Reload web page after (5)<\/strong> field, n the other hand, makes the web page refresh periodically. Simply enter the desired time interval (in seconds).\n
    <\/div>\nFinally, the field Reset browser after field (4)<\/strong> lets you decide how many minutes of inactivity elapse before instantPlay Web resets to the device\u2019s default settings.\n

    Monitor orientation<\/h3>\n<\/div>\nThis feature lets you rotate content to fit the screen it will appear on. If you have a horizontal monitor (landscape), select 0\u00b0. If your monitor is vertical (portrait), select 90\u00b0.\n
    <\/div>\nOnce you\u2019ve defined all the parameters, click on Save. <\/strong><\/li>\n \t
  • Warning!<\/strong> Remember to save at the end of each section, otherwise the changes will be lost.\n

    Device password<\/h3>\n<\/div>\nYou will have seen that you had to enter a password to access the configuration panel. If you want to change it,enter the new one<\/strong>in this field and click onChange password.<\/strong>\n
